We’re Back!

Livecraft is back online after a long period of being down. I was going to launch the server tomorrow at 3:00 PM Eastern Time, but I am going on a date with my girlfriend. I have reduced the max players to 24 players in order to keep the server running quick. Overall, I have made a bunch of changes to keep the server running at its top performance while keeping it safe from DDoS attacks and cheaters. Please let me know if you encounter any issues, and I appreciate all of you guys for your support.

What’s new:

  1. There is a border (made by WorldBorder) on all worlds (a 5,000 block radius)
  2. The world is pre-rendered, ensuring chunks render quickly
  3. I have replaced Deadbolt with LWC. All chests are now private immediately when placed.
  4. I replaced Multiverse with My Worlds. My Worlds is a fast, functional, and up-to-date alternative to Multiverse.
  5. Maximum player count reduced from 32 to 24.
  6. Building in “The End” world has been disabled, and the game mode for “The End” is set to adventure.

Important Updates

Livecraft is undergoing some maintenance currently and should be back online by Friday, February 23rd, 2014. The server has been reset, and there is now a radius on the world in order to prevent the world from growing too large. Overall, the server should feel much faster, so I do hope you guys enjoy the changes. I also replaced Deadbolt with LWC. Chests are now private by default, but this can be changed after placing the chest.

Sneak Peek to 1.8

Hey guys, just posting a quick little sneak peak about our 1.8 update. Although Minecraft 1.8 has not been announced, we’re prepping the server ahead of time so we’re ready. Here’s a screenshot.
Change in plans, sorry.

New Website Look

Hey guys, I’ve decided to make a change to the website. The home page now shows a description of the server with rules, rank info, and screenshots included separately on the same page. The news will now be located under the News section.

I hope you guys enjoy!

32 Players!

Today, we hit a new record to max players: 32. Livecraft was full today as of 2:17 PM EST, or 7:17 PM GMT. Here is a screenshot!

32 Players

This was a great opportunity to stress test the server and determine if we can or can’t handle 32 players. Turns out, we can easily handle 32. Once again, I wish you all a happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I wish all of our American players a happy thanksgiving. Enjoy today, spend time with family, and have a good time. Try not to kill any pets by dropping a turkey!

To our non-American players: Here’s an excuse to buy a big turkey!

Information Regarding “Bad Login”

Note from Mojang:

Non-1.7 clients are currently getting Failed: Bad Login error when trying to log into multiplayer servers. 1.7 clients are not affected. There is no ETA for a fix. Please wait patiently as Mojang fixes the issue.

As a result of this, I will update the server temporarily to Minecraft 1.7. This version WILL NOT HAVE ANY Minecraft 1.7 features. It is simply a Minecraft 1.6 server which accepts Minecraft 1.7 clients.

Server downtime

The server will be offline for some time; this downtime is to fix certain problems affecting the server. It will be online and operational tomorrow, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

In the meantime, feel free to talk on the IRC channel we have. Just click “IRC CHAT” in the toolbar on top to begin using it. Enter in your Minecraft user name and click Connect. Enjoy.

All fixed and good to go.

IRC Chat now online

In other news, we now have IRC chat. Feel free to talk about stuff so long as it follows the rules. This is also one of the best ways to get into contact with a staff member.

[IMPORTANT] Flatlands Rollback

Due to an issue caused by a certain user regarding excessive amounts of TNT in the flatlands, I am left with the only option of reverting the flatlands progress to a backup from November 13th, 2013. I can restore any important builds recently with Prism, but these must be requested personally and a location provided. I will try to make this as quick as possible. The backup has been successfully restored.
