Here are a few screenshots of Livecraft using the “GLSL Shaders” mod. Enjoy!
Amazing Builds of the Week
Here are some amazing builds by an architect named “oldkitbag”. He and Lonnie3 built our spawn when Livecraft was a PVP server. He’s currently our only server architect, and here’s why; also, thrown into the mix is a mansion built by Porky_Sporky.
Enjoy!
Never give alfonsojon a jukebox.
Cloudflare Services Enabled
Hey, Livecraft is now backed by Cloudflare. The server will work the same exact way, but we’re behind Cloudflare’s network, preventing attacks on the website and server.
Enjoy,

Addendum to Updates
As an interim fix for the crashing issues, I have temporarily switched Livecraft back to Craftbukkit. You may experience more lag than usual, but there should not be any more crashes. Please email alfonsojon1997@gmail.com to report any bugs!
** This was fixed by updating CraftBook.
Updates
Hey guys, I apologize for my inactivity. School’s wrapping up and I have finals to prepare for, so I won’t be online. Additionally, my computer monitor broke (it squeals whenever it’s on), so I need to repair that as well.
THE IMPORTANT STUFF
As many of you have noticed, the server has become very unstable as of late. I am working my best to fix this, but I can’t test by myself. I need you guys to report to alfonsojon1997@gmail.com when the server has crashed as soon as possible, if possible. I need to know when the server goes down so I can fix it.
MINECRAFT 1.6
An upcoming event is the release of Minecraft 1.6. This version will have many new features; however, as of now, it does not have any new changes to world generation. Unless a change to the world generation format is implemented, there will be no map reset. Additionally, there will be nothing “extremely new” in the server. Things should stay the same but be a lot cooler 🙂
MORE DOWNTIME???
There -may- be downtime in the near future (tomorrow or Saturday) because our internet bill is overdue. I am not sure how long it will be down, but as always, we’ll be back up and ready for you guys to play again ASAP.
Auction > Shops, Ranged Chat, and more
Hey guys, I’m going to be changing some stuff on the server, but nothing major. Here’s what’s going to be new:
- Auctions
- Ranged Chat
- Tweaking of chat settings
You may have noticed that there are no shops anymore. I personally hated shops because it ruined the fun in Minecraft. You didn’t have to work for anything, you just had to sell dirt and then buy resources. I figured that rather than getting rid of user commerce all together, I would substitute it with an auctions system. With this system in place, you will be able to auction off items at a set value. As more people auction, the value increases. The final bidder will earn the item and hand over the item requested as trade.
Another change is ranged chat. Some of you may be wondering what ranged chat is. What ranged chat achieves is a “radius” of who can here you. For example, if nobody’s near by, your chat will not be heard. In order to speak globally, just add a ! to the beginning of your message:
Examples:
- Hey guys → “Your message was not heard.”
- !Hey guys → [Member] username: Hey guys
Livecraft’s back online!
As you should have noticed, Livecraft died. We had a hard drive failure; however, the hard drive survived. The data, however, did not. Everything was wiped, including the website, server, and everything. Me, Evil, and Medius have spent the last week getting Livecraft online and working nicely. It should be a lot faster than it used to be.
What’s new:
- Craftbook replaced Essentials
- Craftbook replaced TimeLock
- PermissionsEx replaced Essentials GroupManager
- ChatManager replaced Essentials Chat
Command differences:
- No more /tpa. Use /call instead.
- /back = resume from /afk.
- Use /return to go back to a location you were just at.
Other changes:
- Website died. D:
- Everything else died
- Server was totally reset.
I know many of you probably lost items from the new map, but there was no possible way to recover the lost data. Even if I could have recovered the map, it would have been severely corrupted and just not worth fixing.
Regards, Jonathan Alfonso (alfonsojon)
